Studio Policies *
Welcome to our community! To maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all, we kindly ask that you review and respect the following studio policies:
Women-Only
Our studio is a dedicated space exclusively for women, designed to promote comfort, empowerment, and community. All classes and events are open only to individuals who identify as women.
Booking & Cancellations
All classes must be booked in advance via our online system.
Cancellations must be made at least 2 hours before class to avoid losing a session or incurring a fee.
Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a fee or forfeited class, depending on your membership/package.
Waitlist
If a class is full, you may join the waitlist. If a spot becomes available, you’ll be automatically added and notified. Please ensure your notifications are enabled.
Studio Etiquette
Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to settle in and respect the start of class.
Studio doors will be locked after a 5 mn grace period and will not be admitted into class.
Remove shoes upon entry and silence mobile devices.
Use respectful language and behavior at all times to maintain a positive space for all.
Cleanliness & Hygiene
Please wipe down all equipment after use with the provided disinfectant.
Wear clean, appropriate workout attire.
For hygiene and comfort, we recommend bringing your own towel.
Health & Safety
Do not attend class if you are feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of illness.
Inform your instructor of any injuries or conditions prior to class so we can offer modifications.
No Refunds
All memberships and class packages are non-refundable. Please review our full policy before purchasing.
Membership Holds & Transfers
Membership holds may be granted in cases of extended illness or travel. Requests must be submitted in writing. Memberships are non-transferable.
Respecting the Space
This studio is a judgment-free, supportive environment. We ask everyone to help uphold our mission by fostering kindness, inclusion, and mutual respect.
No Recording
To protect the privacy, comfort, and focus of all participants, recording of any kind (video, audio, or photos) during Pilates classes is strictly not permitted.
This policy helps ensure:
A safe and respectful space for all clients
The protection of our instructors’ teaching methods and intellectual property
That everyone can move freely without concern of being filmed or photographed
We kindly ask that all phones and recording devices be silenced and put away during class. If you'd like to take a photo before or after class, please ask your instructor for permission.
Ignoring this policy will result on the termination of any class, package or membership as well as resulting of not being allowed back on studio.
Membership Freeze
We understand that life happens whether you're traveling, recovering from an injury, or just need a short break, we offer the option to freeze your membership under the following guidelines:
Eligibility
Membership freezes are available for monthly or longer-term memberships.
You may freeze your membership for a minimum of 7 days and a maximum of 60 days per calendar year.
Notice Requirement
All freeze requests must be submitted in writing at least 7 days before the intended start date.
Requests can be sent via email to uppermontclair@pilattestudionj.com or submitted at the front desk.
Fees
The first freeze per calendar year is complimentary.
Additional freezes may incur a $15 administrative fee per request.
Terms
Your billing cycle will automatically extend by the length of the freeze period.
Memberships cannot be frozen retroactively or while in a cancellation period.
Medical Holds
For medical or injury-related holds, please provide a note from a healthcare provider. These freezes may be extended beyond 60 days as needed, and the admin fee will be waived
